Obituary for Phyllis Freer
With heavy hearts and rejoicing Love at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia on Friday, October 20, 2017, PHYLLIS FREER (nee Kinart), is able to dance with her husband Gerald in Heaven. Born in Saskatchewan, the daughter of Horatio and Ida Kinart, Phyllis, turned 84 this past Wednesday, spent most of her life Petrolia. Loving mother to Pauline (Doug Brooks) Freer, Dave Freer, Glen Freer, Tena (Bill) Duncan, Kandy (Brian) Hoven and the late Rae (2012) (April) Freer. Cherished grandmother to Shawn, Mike, Tim, Jason, Aimee, Ashley, Kurtis, Cherissa, Matthew, Lacey, Dakota, Larissa, Martena, Spencer, and Amelia and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Eldon (the late Ivy) Kinart, a sister Kay (the late Garnet) Burley, and a sister-in-law Audrey Kinart. Phyllis was predeceased by her sisters Verna (the late Lloyd) Colborne, Blanche (the late Alvin) Burley, Ileen (the late Mac) Burley, Edith (Merle) Bishop, and Sheila and her brothers Rae Kinart, Grant (the late Betty) Kinart. Phyllis was also a sister-in-law to Donald, Bruce, Gary the late Orval, the late Lorna Maitland and the late Betty Vokes. The family would like to thank the front line staff at Lambton Meadowview Villa and Dr. Susan Mather for the compassionate care you gave us the last five years, words cannot express how we feel, you have become part of our family, you are our Angels on Earth. Visitors will be received on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Alzhiemers Society(www.alzheimer.ca/sarnialambton), Children’s Health Foundation (www.childhealth.ca), or Lambton Meadow Villa (www.lambtoncares.ca).
