The family wishes to announce the passing at the Kings County
Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 16, 2017 of Phyllis Anne
Creed, age 86 of Sturgeon, beloved wife of the late John T.Creed. Born
in Montague, October 9,1930, she was the daughter of the late Phillip
and Kathleen (McCarthy) McGee. Phyllis is survived by her loving
children, Sylvia (Gary Billard) Stratford, Barry (Stella), Gaspereaux,
Gayle (Andy) Clarey, Murray River, Valerie (Sydney Beck) Brudenell,
Winnifred (Robert) Clements, Lower Montague, Eugene (Debbie),
Commercial Cross; numerous cherished grandchildren and great
grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Murphy and Olga McGee; she
was predeceased by sons John Wilfred and John William; sister Dorothy
Mae McGee, brother Wilfred McGee; son-in-law Peter Prosper.
By personal request there will be no visitation.
Funeral Mass to take place at St. Paul’s Catholic Church,
Sturgeon on Saturday at 1:30 pm. Interment to take place in the
spring. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Paul’s Cemetery
Fund, Sturgeon would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to
Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home.
