McCann, Phillip Francis husband of Gwen McCann (Jones) passed away at Bobby’s Hospice Saint John on Thursday November 30, 2017.
Born in Fredericton Junction, NB on June 27, 1952 he was the son of the late Ellen (Hogan) and Gerald McCann.
Phillip worked for Industrial Cold Milling for over 30 years operating a variety of trucks and equipment. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed spending time at his camp.
Phillip is survived by his wife if 43 years Gwen McCann, three sons; Scott (Kate), Steve (Amy) and Jeff (Kara), two sisters; Shirley Boyle (George) and Ann Mott (Dean), two brothers; Danny (Cathy), Jerry (Debbie),four grandchildren; Keltee, Cooper, Ella and Nolan, mother-in-law Florence Jones, sisters-in-law Tina McCann, Cathy Jones, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Phillip is pre-deceased by two brothers; Cedric and Kevin and father-in-law Lloyd Jones.
Visitations will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home on Sunday December 3, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. The funeral will be held on Monday December 4, 2017 at 11 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Grand Bay-Westfield, NB with Father David Martin officiating. Interment will follow at St. Columba’s Catholic Cemetery in Fredericton Junction, NB. If you wish, donations may be made in Phillip’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Bobby’s Hospice.
