Philip Ronald “Ronnie” Whalen
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Philip
Ronald “Ronnie” Whalen, 69, of Moncton, who passed away
peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017, at his camp in Kent Junction,
NB, with his family by his side.
Born in Kent Junction, on June 22, 1948 he was the son of the
late Lawrence and Arthemise Whalen. Ronnie is survived by his loving
wife, of 47 years, Bonnie; sons, Brian (Ruby) and Darren (Rachelle);
daughter Lisa (Scott); eight grandchildren who he truly adored, Zane,
Olivia, Josh, Hannah, Jayden, Nolan, Morgan and Logan; sisters, Myrtle
(Omer), Carol (Eloie), Gladys and Linda (Bobby); brothers, Eddie
(Carol), Billy (Karen), Ralph (Gail), Norman and Larry
(Audrey); as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his
sisters, Eileen and May; brothers, Camille, Harry, Albert, Kenneth,
Roger and Edgar.
Ronnie’s family was his greatest pride and he was
passionate about spending time with them. He was an avid hunter who
thoroughly enjoyed being at his camp. He also enjoyed fishing, four
wheeling, playing his guitar and going for leisure car
drives.
In honouring Ronnie’s wishes, there will be no
visitation. A service will be held on Saturday October 7, 2017 at 2:00
p.m. at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Kent
Junction. Following the service there will be a gathering at his son’s
camp (9214 Rte 126) to celebrate his life.
