Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, December 22, 2016, Philip J. Fahey of Western Bay, age 77 years. Predeceased by parents: Maurice and Bridget; brothers: Andrew and Johnny; half-brother: Les; parents-in-law: William and Elizabeth Rose. Leaving to mourn, wife of 54 years: Margaret; two daughters: Sandra (Kenneth) Butt, Labrador City and Christine (Bruce) Cole, Torbay; two sons: Paul (Elizabeth Parsons), Ochre Pit Cove and Stephen (Kimberly Reid), Goulds; eight grandchildren: Chantelle (Ryan), Sheldon, Kenzie, Kenny, Shalene, Hannah, Lucas, and Madison; two great-grandchildren: Gracie and Gavin; two brothers: Edward (Stella) and Craig (Bev), both of Western Bay; two sisters: Joan (Patrick) Hogan, Western Bay and Gertrude (Steve) Laporta, Whitby, ON; special friend: Nicholas Wheadon, Western Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, December 26 at 12:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the a charity of one’s choice.
