Philip Arthur Arsenault ‘Mr. Phil’, 68, of Synton
passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Moncton
Hospital.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Arthur
Arsenault and Marjorie (Barber) Church. He was an industrial
and residential painter and he owned and operated ‘MR. PHIL’ painting
for over 25 years. Phil enjoyed hunting and fishing and
especially time spent with his friends at the Caledonia Mountain
camp. He loved being outdoors, walking and most of all being
with his family – preparing meals for them with his pies for
dessert.
He is survived and sadly missed by his wife of 47
years Jean (MacLeod); son Philip ‘Matthew’ Arsenault (Gidget) of
Havelock; daughter Tammy Arsenault of Riverview; grandchildren
Kristian Arsenault (Morgan), Misty Arsenault, Bailey Arsenault (Evan)
and Sadie Arsenault; great grandson Ryder Arsenault; sisters Jennifer
Arsenault, Carol Arsenault (Raj) and Helen Constantine (Rick) all of
British Columbia and Marjorie Strout (late Allen) of Maine;
brother-in-law Richard MacLeod (Pat) of Kinnear Settlement;
sisters-in-law Jackie Steeves of Havelock, Jill Corey (Steven) of
Harewood and Kathy MacLeod (late Brian) of Pollett River;
father-in-law and mother-in-law Lee and Chris MacLeod of Havelock and
several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he is
predeceased by his step-dad Hugh Church.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the
Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) Thursday, May 4 at
10:30 am with Rev. Danny Compton officiating assisted by Rev. Bill
Parks. Interment to follow at Five Points Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a local food bank
would be appreciated by the family.
