In Loving Memory of Peter McKay Windover
(April 13, 1950 – Jan 21, 2017)
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge health Oshawa, surrounded by family, after a very brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Left to grieve his passing is His loving partner and soulmate of 24 years, Charlene Watson, His mother Marjorie Windover of Minden and predeceased by his father Roy 2005. Peter leaves behind his sons Kristopher (Dianne), Kevin (Thera) and Charlene’s son, Steven Fountain (Karen). Cherished papa to McKay, Ethan, Nathan and Connor Windover, and Katie and Matthew Fountain. Survived by his sister Pamela (Rick Dunsford). Peter will be deeply missed by his little buddy “Ernie”. Peter showed tremendous strength and grace during his illness with his concern for everyone else. Peter will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.
Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427, Minden K0M 2K0 on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 11:00 am until the time of the Service to Celebrate Peter’s Life at 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow. Reception will be held in the Family Centre at the Funeral Home.
Memorial Donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation (HHHSF) or to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
