GLADU
It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. John Hector Gladu, age 73 years and more commonly known as Peter, in the TBRHSC with his family by his side, on Tuesday January 3, 2017.
John was born in Jellicoe on March 25, 1943 to Rene and Elizabeth Gladu. He worked in the Roofing industry for many years as well as other various occupations in Thunder Bay. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his biggest enjoyment in life was his family.
Peter is survived by his sons with Christine Gordon: Guy (Shelley), Arthur (Michaela) and Keith (Daisy) and with Gladys Nichols, Ryan (Marni); grandchildren Josef, Alex, and Celia; brothers Albert, Paul (Debbie), Lyle (Melanie), Adam (Grace) and sisters Annette (Joe) Ladouceur, Ellen (Tom) Canuel, Vera (Bob) McCollum, June (Paul) Jones, Priscilla Gladu, Rene Taylor and family as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was predeceased by his father Rene Gladu and mother Elizabeth Gladu (nee Morriseau); brother Henry and many other relatives.
Special thank you goes to the staff at TBRHSC – ICU for all of their extra caring
efforts to Peter for his comfort.
Visitation for Peter John Gladu will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 5:00-8:00PM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. Interment will take place on Monday, January 9, 2017 with family and friends gathering at the Main Gates of St. Andrew’s Cemetery at 10:00AM.
Should friends desire, contributions to help cover the cost of Peter’s funeral expenses can be made at the funeral home or donations to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Centre (ICU) would be greatly appreciated.
