MOORE, Peter James
December 10, 1948 – May 18, 2017
It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved Peter Moore of Sherwood Park on May 18, 2017 at the age of 68 years. He left this world doing what he loved most, at the stable with his horses in the company of his wife Judy.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy; his three children, Matthew, Andrea, and Gregory, his grandson Lucas who misses his ‘Grampa’ dearly; his siblings Tom (Marg) Moore of North Bay, Susan Adams of Ottawa, Elizabeth Moore of Voglers Cove, and John (Doreen) Moore of Smoky Lake; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and two loving horses, Khannie and Casey. Peter was a loving husband, father, and friend to all.
Peter’s family would like to give special thanks for the outpouring of love and support that has been received from the many people that Peter has made a positive impression on during his life. A man of few words, Peter spoke always with kindness and sincerity. He lived selflessly; generous with his love for family, friends and the community, always being the first to lend a hand without being asked.
Peter’s family invites all to come and celebrate his extraordinary life and pay their respects. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, on Thursday, May 25, 2017. A memorial service for Peter will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Glenwood Funeral Home on Monday, May 29, 2017.
Peter donated generously to several causes in his life. To continue his legacy donations can be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundations of Alberta, 10985-124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T5M 0H9.
