Sadly, we regretfully announce the passing of Peter John of Fruitvale, BC on December 1, 2017.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Gwen John of 68 years, his children; Annie (Rod) Wilson, Gwyneth (Don) Laybourne, Linda (David) Bortnick, Peter (Janet) John and Lora John, 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Grace John, his eldest daughter Elizabeth and his four brothers.
Peter was self-employed, running John’s Clothing and later, John’s Insurance office for many years. He also kept himself busy with golfing and curling.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Beaver Valley Curling Rink with Gwen Ziprick, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Peter’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society at c/o 15-835 Spokane St, Trail, BC, V1R 3W4 or the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Health Foundation (Endoscopy Campaign) at 1200 Hospital Bench, Trail, BC, V1R 4M1 or online at www.kbrhhealthfoundation.ca
