CLARK, Peter “Dean”
James – Age 40,
We’koqma’q First Nation, died peacefully with his
wife in his arms on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, in the Victoria County
Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Inverness on April 25, 1977, he
was a son of Roger Clark of Kakabeka Falls, Ont; and Jean (Steve)
MacLean of Wilburn. Dean worked as a fisherman at the
Atoqwa’su Fish Farm.
Besides his parents, Dean is survived by his wife, Lesley
(Googoo) Clark; daughters, Deanna and Lacey; sons, Chance, William
“Sully”, Ian and John, all of
We’koqma’q First Nation; brother, Logan Clark,
Marathon, Ont; sister, Cailee Clark, Calgary, AB; godmother, Karen
Doucette, Eskasoni; godchildren, Serena Googoo, Kia Googoo and Colbey
Googoo. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, James and Iola
(MacDougall) Clark; maternal grandparents, Peter and Irene (Pierro)
Googoo; godfather, James Sylliboy; uncle, John Googoo; aunt, Elizabeth
“Betty” Stevens.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday in the family
residence, 162 Subdivision Road, We’koqma’q First
Nation. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday from Blessed Kateri
Parish Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church,
We’koqma’q with Father Vincent Trabers
officiating. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are under the care
and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Words
