Bill (Peter William) Dyck passed away at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Friday, September 29th, 2017 following a major stroke. He was the oldest of a large Lumby family born to Peter and Bertha Dyck on April 28, 1941. His siblings are Marie Feely, Kamloops, Tony (Pat), Vernon, Art, Vernon, Noreen (Ernie) Dugdale, Prince George, Rosa (Brian) Loewen, Coldstream, Donna (Ted) Davies, Coldstream, Robin (Colleen), Big Lake, Betty (Dean), Edson, Gerald (Mary), Lumby and George (Sally), Lumby. Bill was schooled in Lumby, Mission, and Nelson and worked primarily for the hydro in B.C. and California. Bill loved children, the simple life, hiking, eating healthily, and learning. He spent his last years at Saddle Mountain Place in Lumby, and was always happy to connect with friends and family on his frequent jaunts around town. Family will gather at a later date to celebrate Bill’s life and to spread his ashes. We will miss him! Our oldest brother!
