SPURR, Pearl Mary (nee Browett) 91, passed away December 7, 2017 at Halifax, Nova Scotia Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Pearl was the daughter of the late Albert Arthur Samuel and May Kelsey (Cook) Browett. Music and the Baptist church were central in Pearl’s childhood home throughout the years following the death of her mother when Pearl was 18 months old. Following her father’s example, who served overseas with the Canadian Army Medical Corp in WWI, Pearl served with the Canadian Women’s Army Corp in Toronto, during WWII.
