Pearl Lillian (Luff) Rice – 2017

Passed away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, April 24, 2017 Pearl Luff (Rice) of Bishop’s Falls, at the age of 68 years. She retired from the RCMP as a civilian member in 2002 after 35 years of service. In 2010 she married George Rice and they shared a short but happy life together. Predeceased by parents, Raymond and Gertrude Luff; sister, Vera; brother-in-law, Bert Starkes; and her special mother-in-law, Ivy Jane Rice. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, George Rice; sisters, Shirley (Fred) Rose, and Margaret (Wilmore) Eddy; brother, Harold (Doraldena) Luff; sisters-in-law, Verna (Jim) Stagg, Madge (Rodney) Toms, Jacqueline (William) Evans, and Marjorie (Duncan) Parsons; brothers-in-law, Paul (Mabel) Rice, Harvey (Barbara) Rice, and Ford Rice (John); as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pastor Clifford Holloway will conduct the funeral service on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2pm from Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in Bishop’s Falls. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home in Bishop’s Falls. Pallbearers are Paul Evans, Jerry Rose, Brian Rose, Steven Luff, Michael Luff, and Bradley Eddy.
Donations in Pearl’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
