Pearl Eva (Mothers) Hoyt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear
mother Pearl Eva Hoyt on the 15 of April, 2017. Born in South Minto,

Fitzgerald), Colpitts Settlement, NB; Bonnie (Roy Peters), Bedford,
NS; Janice (Kevin Darbyson), Pierrefonds, QC; Darrell (Elizabeth
Duncan), Maryville, IL, USA; Stephen (Patty Danaher), Rothesay, NB and
Kevin (Christine Tanner), Quispamsis, NB. She is also survived by
her sister, Ethel Carr of Minto N.B, 21 grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. On her
husband’s side of the family, Pearl is also survived by Wellsley
Hoyt (Etta) of Minto, N.B. Of special relationship to Pearl was her
niece Nancy Robichaud (Debouver) of Rothesay, NB and Claudette Levac
of Winnipeg MB.
Pearl was predeceased by her husband Thomas Hoyt; her eldest son David
and his wife Lynn (McAllister); her daughter-in-law Joyce Tingley
(Eric) and her son-in-law Lawrence Larson (Elizabeth).
She was guided by her faith and for many years attended Highfield
Baptist Church in Moncton, NB.
Pearl’s greatest accomplishment was that she was a great, strong
mother to her large family. Pearl was also affectionately known as
“Mothers” to many who came to know her over her long
life.
The family would especially like to thank the staff and volunteers at
Bobby’s Hospice, Saint John, N.B. and the Palliative Care Unit
at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Visitation will take place from 1-2:30 pm on Thursday, April 20th at
Hogg Funeral Home, 10 King Street, Minto, NB. The funeral service
will be held at the same location at 3:00 pm. Interment will be in
the Baptist Church Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Minto Seniors
Hall, O’Leary Lane.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bobby’s Hospice,
385 Dufferin Row, Saint John, NB, to your local SPCA or to the charity
of your choice.
A life well-lived leaves its gentle pattern on the hearts of all and
the world is a lovelier place because one person touched it with
warmth and goodness and grace.
