With his sister holding his hand, Paul came to the end of his life’s journey on Sunday, January 29th surrounded by the warmth and caring of the amazing people at the McKenney Creek Hospice. Born November 9, 1945 in Glasgow, Scotland, Paul was predeceased by his parents Tom (1993) and Janie (1996), his life partner of 35 years, Lui (2004), and his BFF of 57 years Glyn, just this past October. Left to miss him dearly are his younger sister Audrey, his Aunt Nan Lee in Victoria, and the two “children of his heart”, Brad (AnnMarie) Baron and Anthony (Patricia) Zielinski, as well as the many, many friends he made from his years working in logging camps. Paul loved good music, good wine, and of course, great food. Being a baker by trade, and partnered with an Italian chef, what else could he be but a foodie! The family would like to thank Dr. M. Milewski for his kindness and compassion to Paul during his long illness. Paul’s ashes will be laid to rest with his parents in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Plans for a celebration of Paul’s life will be announced at a later date.
