Paul Tipot Joseph Gauthier

Paul “Tipot” Joseph Gauthier
1951-2017
Paul “Tipot” Gauthier
of Riverview passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, July
11, 2017. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Philias and
Elodie Gauthier (LeBlanc).
Paul was retired from Canada
Post, where he had been employed for over 35 years.
He was a huge sports fan, his favourites being
hockey and baseball. He was well known throughout the sports
community, having umpired both baseball and softball, and being very
involved in all of his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Prior to that, he played numerous sports himself. He was the sort of
person who had a strong and happy presence in a room. His enthusiasm
was contagious to those around him, often described
as cheerful, smiling and well loved by many
friends and family.
He will be dearly missed by his
sons Joel Gauthier (Brittany) of Cape
Breton, Jeremie Gauthier (Raven) of
Moncton, Julien Gauthier (Josée) of
Riverview and Donny Barry (Carley) of Adamsville;
his daughter Michelle Barry of Dieppe; his
grandchildren Kennedy, Lincoln, Selena and Waylon; the
mothers of his children Frances Gauthier and Nicole Barry; brothers
Camille (Raymonde) of
Dieppe, Roméo (Marlene) of Digby; sisters
Yogi (Yolande) (Zoël) of Moncton, Claire (Sandy) of Moncton,
Cecile (Art) of Fredericton, and Rose of Moncton; as well as several
nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving relatives
and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330
Whitepine Rd., Riverview, (869-2007) on Friday from
2-4 and 6-8pm. A service celebrating his life will take place from
Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday,
July 15, 2017 at 11:00am with Rev. Brent Ham officiating.
Donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated
by the family. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
