Patrick Armstrong

Patrick Armstrong July 16, 1938 – January 26, 2017

Armstrong, Patrick Edward, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on January 26, 2017 at the age of 78. He was the husband of the late Sheila (Hendrickson) Armstrong. Born on July 16, 1938; he was the son of the late Edward and Stella (Mair) Armstrong.
He will be greatly missed by his four children: Wendy Bazinet (Don), Tim Armstrong, Tracey Armstrong and Chris Armstrong (Rachel); four Grandchildren: John, Nathan, Ashley, Matthew; one great grandson, Kayden; four Sisters: Sandra (Alaster), Sharron (Gilles), Janet (Bill) and Debbie (Roger) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his wife, he is predeceased by his brother Danny.
Patrick enjoyed many hobbies; including his collection of antique cars and collectibles to being a scout leader. After 33 years of proudly serving as a firefighter at the Moncton Airport, he took his well-deserved retirement and went on to become a member of the Hillsborough Village council, eventually becoming Mayor of the village from 2012 to 2016.
As per his wishes, there will be no visits at the funeral home or funeral services. There will be a private family ceremony held on a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Fundy Royal Manor in Hillsborough for all the great care provided.
In memory of Mr. Armstrong, a donation to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
