ROGERS (Bohnet), PATRICIA (nee Toole)
October 28, 1942 (Truro, Nova Scotia)
March 20, 2017 (Sherwood Park, Alberta)
It’s with great sadness, as well as fond and laughter-filled memories, that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Rogers (Bohnet), after a crushing battle against cancer.
Patricia was raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta where she trained at the Medicine Hat Hospital School of Nursing. She applied her medical knowledge in many settings and ended her career as Emergency Receptionist at the University of Alberta Hospital. Patricia was particularly proud of her contribution as union steward and member of Provincial Executive of the AUPE. She deeply loved her family, spent many happy times with each one, and spoke proudly of how special they all are. Patricia loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises with her partner, Richard Wilson. They shared angst and laughter.
Patricia is survived by her partner Richard, her sons, Patrick and Michael (Kathy) Bohnet, her sister, Gloria Toole (Janis Svilpis), grandchildren Kristopher, Brandon, and Lauren, step-grandchildren Ashley, Cameron, Aaron, Jacey, great granddaughter Charlee, and nephew, Eric Svilpis.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 10:00 am at the Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park.
Donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to any animal rescue society of your choice.
