It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, after a courageous fight with breast cancer. She leaves to carry wonderful memories of her time with us, her adoring husband of 31 years, Wandikayi; her loving children Ryan and Shasily; her dear sisters-in-law Ernestine, Esnath, Cornishasily (John); her affectionate brothers-in-law, Taylor (Doit) and Walter (Catherine); many nephews and nieces; her close friends Grace Pattison, Marilyn and Kris Bissoon, Monica Zolezzi and Enrique Castro and God-daughters Daniela and Sabrina Castro; as well as her soon to be children Bambi Morrill (Ryan) and Terrence Gosine (Shasily).
Patti touched the lives of everyone she came across with her infectious positivity, love, kindness, empathy for those less fortunate, and her zest for life. Indeed, she will be dearly missed by her many friends and colleagues! Her life was a triumph over fate and misfortune which deprived her of her parents at a very young age. She overcame a great deal to become a much grounded human being who had a lot to share with everyone.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to all the healthcare personnel who looked after her with such dedication and compassion, especially Dr. G. Samycia (family physician), Dr. J. Price-Hiller, (oncologist), and the many nurses and other professionals at The Cross Cancer Institute, especially Unit 31 nursing staff, and Misericordia Hospital (Unit 82 nursing staff).
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Patti, donations may be made to The Salvation Army Children’s Home, Calgary Alberta, The Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2 or a charity of your choice.
