With heavy hearts family of Patricia Colleen Small Legs announce she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved husband and family, on Nov 19, 2017. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Martha Small Legs, Brothers Wally, Stanley, and Ivan Small Legs, Sisters Vivian, Kathryn, and Delores Small Legs, & special nephew Kyle Small Legs.
Patricia is lovingly remembered by her devoted and loving husband of 37 years Harold Joseph McDonald, daughters Sherida Scott and Danika Bull Bear, and Nan to her grandson Diaz Plain Eagle-Scott. Brothers Joe, Edwin, Alfred Small Legs, sisters Owna Scott, Barbara and Irma Small Legs. Patricia is also survived by many relatives; we apologize for missed family and friends. Special nieces Carolynn Small Legs-Cutter, Marija Small Legs, Sasha Poje, Adrien Poje, and Tacey Rabbit. Special nephews Scott Wright, Wade Plain Eagle, Boise Bastien, Alias Small Legs, Chayse and Aidan Scout and goddaughters Shyanne Scott and Alicia Small Legs. Special family & friends include; Marie Small Legs, William Big Bull, and Jordon Cutter.
Patricia, known as Connie (Cuddles) spent her early life attending schools in Sacred Heart, St. Vincent Convent, and then Crowfoot. Member of Calgary communities she made many friends and then met the love of her life, Harold. Connie lived true to her heritage, worked very hard, enjoyed life, and loved her family. She enjoyed casino and bingo, but later in life travelled and attended many pow wow’s, rodeo’s, and ready to shop. Connie will always be fondly remembered and missed.
A Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, (Prairie View Chapel, 1605 – 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with light snacks to follow. Special thanks to AHS & EMS and specialists at Tom Baker Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Alberta in memory of Connie (Patricia Small Legs).
