56, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Saturday,
October 28, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at the QEII, Halifax,
NS following a courageous battle with cancer and dementia.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Kenneth Fillmore and Muriel
Baker. Throughout her life, Pam was an exceptional caregiver
who loved her family dearly. She dedicated her life to being
a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by
her loving husband of 44 years, Raymond “Perry”
Smith, her cherished daughter, Katherine “Kathy”
Smith, Halifax, her treasured grandson, Shawn Smith, as well as her
sisters, Carolyn LaPierre (Bill), Halifax, and Donna Fitzpatrick,
Sackville, NS. She was predeceased by her parents and her
only son, Joseph Perry Smith in 2011. The family wishes to
express their thanks to the nursing staff of 4.2 QEII, New Halifax
Infirmary for the exceptional care given to Pam. By request, cremation
will take place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005)
Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS. There will be no
service or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made in memory of Pam to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova
Scotia. Words of comfort may be sent to the family by
