Passed away on December 12, 2017 at the Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 61 years. Norm is survived by his common-law wife Sue Lemire; daughter Holly Gibson (Tim); son Jon Frithe and two grandsons Oliver and Angus Gibson; three brothers, Dieter (Eva), Klaus and Uwe and many more family and friends, not to forget Pet Brandy and cats. Predeceased by brother Andy Birner and parents Alfred and Clara Birner. Norm enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and being outdoors.
