Peacefully at Rockwood Terrace in Durham, on Tuesday morning, January 3rd, 2017. Norma Elizabeth Van (nee Shearer), of Durham and formerly of Woodstock, at the age of 83 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Donald Van (1993). Loving mother of Dawn Thacker (Gary), of Brantford, Karen Ford, of Woodstock and Randy Van (Nikki), of Brantford. Proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Henry and Nelda Schearer; her daughters, Carolyn and Lorrie Van; her siblings, Noreen, Verner, Carol and Leonard Schearer.
A Memorial Service for Norma Van will be held in the Chapel of at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492), on Saturday, January 7th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Spring interment in Shiloh Cemetery, Williamsford.
