“”Reen”, “Gramma Reen””
Keens
Noreen passed away in her 65th year in London on Wed. Dec. 6th after an arduous battle with cancer. Loving Mom of Marcy (Ben), Craig (Jaime), and Allison (Steve). Noreen, “Gramma Reen”, will be missed dearly by her grandchildren Olive, Zoe, Kael, Andie, Abigail and Kelsey. She is pre-deceased by her parents Edith and Duncan Sopha. She is survived by her sisters Wendy and Rannah. Noreen is also remembered fondly by her extended family and her network of friends in Barrie.
Noreen was such a friendly and outgoing person. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Many precious memories were made with her and we will hold them close to our hearts forever.
“In the garden of memory, in the palace of dreams…that is where you and I shall meet.” Alice Through The Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
Cremation has occurred, and a private ceremony will be held with family to intern her ashes into a niche wall in the Barrie Union Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held in 2018. The details of that celebration will be communicated through another announcement in the paper.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a donation in Noreen’s name, may do so to the Ontario Humane Society or Hospice Simcoe.
