BILLINGS, Noreen (Littleton) 1944-2017
Peacefully in her sleep with her husband by her side on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Hilltop Manor, Merrickville, ON in her 73rd year. Noreen leaves behind her adoring husband of 56 years Denzil. Loving “Mom” to Denzil Jr., Melanie (Tim), Sheila (Steven), Paul (Kim) and predeceased by her beautiful daughter Laurie. Cherished sister to Marjorie (Bob) and the late Eileen (Robert), Mervin (late Lucy) and Austin (Jeanette). Dear sister-in-law to Muriel (late Hector), Harold (Shelba), Donald and the late Howard (Marion). Beloved daughter-in-law to the late Delbert & Hilda Billings. Noreen leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Noreen was born November 18, 1944 in Poltimore, QC to her beloved parents the late Howard & Harriet Littleton and resided in Poltimore, QC until the age of 16 when her family moved to Kemptville where she met and fell in love with the man of her dreams and rode off into the sunset on his motorcycle. They made Manotick, ON their home for many years and finally resided in Merrickville, ON. Noreen was a caregiver for a number of years and much later in life went out in the workplace. Noreen enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. Watching Denzil race around the track, snowmobiling, bingo, family functions, listening to some good ole country music and dressing up for halloween especially her “3-legged” costume were some of her favorite pastimes. A celebration of Noreen’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 between 2-5pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Kemptville Branch 212, 100 Rueben Crescent, Kemptville, ON. In memory of Noreen, donations can be made to the Alzeheimer’s Society of Canada.
