Lovingly Remembered
Nola (Grammy) passed away peacefully with family at her side, at Rockyview Hospital, Calgary, AB.
Nola (Grammy) is survived by her daughters Sheila Smith, Carla Giles, Twyla (Brian Forsyth) Lawrence, stepdaughters Karen (Wayne) Ritchie; Barb (Bruce) Wensink; stepson Wilf (Tracy) Middleton. Grandchildren Courtney (Nick) Luxen, Clayton (Kourtney) Wapple; Elesha (Perry Freake) Lawrence, Chad (Miranda Flanagan) Lawrence; Tyler Ritchie, Emily Ritchie, Cody Wensink, Chrissy Wensink, Walker Middleton and Kipton Middleton. Also five great grandchildren Aliyah and Brooklyn Luxen, Blakely Wapple, Nevaeh and Mason Freake. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Joyce Bateman and Doreen Giles, and many special cousins, including Joan Mahlman and Denis Nevin and their families. Also, many other nieces and nephews.
Nola was predeceased by her infant daughter, Holly Giles (1957), the first love of her life Keith Giles (1985), and the second love of her life Lloyd Middleton (2013). Also predeceased by her sister-in-law Jeanette Sunderland, and brothers-in-law Neil, Bruce and Ross Giles, and cousin Don Maybin.
A Memorial Service will be held Okotoks United Church on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Oilfields (Turner Valley) Food Bank or STARS Air Ambulance. To express condolences, please visit: www.mountainviewmemorial.ca.
