Nancy deBlois Page
1917-2017
With appreciation for a life well-lived, and devotion to
family, the family of Nancy Page announces her peaceful passing, which
occurred on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Ridgewood
Veteran’s Wing. Born in Saint John on August 1, 1917, she
was a daughter of the late Dr. Frederick and Marion (Millidge)
Dunlop.
Following her graduation from the Royal Victoria Hospital in
Montreal, Nancy worked in the cities of Montreal and Saint John as a
caring and professional nurse. She also served as a nurse in the
military during WW2 as part of the No. 12 Canadian General
Hospital. She was a member of St. Andrew and St. David
United Church, Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 68, the Saint John
Naturalist Club and the Nursing Sisters Association.
Nancy will be missed by her beloved son, Dr. Fred Page
(Hermine); her cherished granddaughter, Rebecca; a sister-in-law, Eva;
and nieces and nephews, Cathy, Heather, Martha, Nancy, Cynthia, Melody
and Robert.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her
loving husband, Thomas Richard Page in 1990; and her brothers, Lewis
(Dorothy) and Brydone “Jimmy”.
Arrangements are under the care of
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A private graveside service
honouring Nancy’s life will be held on Wednesday, September
13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish,
remembrances may be made to Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing or any
charity of the donor’s choice.
