McCoy, Nancy Anne –
With appreciation for a life well-lived, the family of Nancy
A. McCoy announces her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, January 10,
2017 at her residence surrounded by those she loved. Born in Saint
John on October 2, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William Sr.
and Gertrude (Murphy) Bartlett.
Nancy was a strong woman who loved her family, and always put
them first. In her younger years she was an avid swimmer and skater.
She always looked forward to gathering with her family for one of
their weekly card games.
Nancy will be missed by her daughters, Heather Melanson,
Nancy Fraser (Terry), Sherry Turrett (Hector); her grandchildren,
Colton Melanson, Brandon and Chantelle Fraser and Samantha Turrett;
her sisters, Joan Richard (Guy), Dawn Smith and Linda Steele (the late
Wayne); her husband, Robert McCoy; special caregiver, Hannah and her
daughter Olivia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and people whose
lives she touched throughout the years.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her
siblings, Betty Achorn (Edwin), Ruth Bonner (Tommy), Billy Bartlett
(Marie), Donnie Bartlett and Jimmy Bartlett.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation
on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of
Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at
11:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will
take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to
New Brunswick Extra Mural Program or Heart and Stroke Foundation would
be appreciated by the family.
