Muriel (Lucy) Praud – July 24, 1919 — August 29, 2017

We are sad to announce that our dear Lucy passed away on August 29, 2017, at Victoria, BC.
Lucy was predeceased by her parents Lillian and Fred Elkington, her brother Howard, her husband Constant Praud, her sons Daryl and Doug, her sister Joyce, and her good friend Kurt Schmidt.
She is survived by her sister Mabel (Keith), brother Everett (Irene), her sons Dennis (Betty), David and Don, her daughter Darlene (Wes), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and dear friends from Esquimalt Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
Lucy was a wonderful person that throughout her life made many friends through her thoughtfulness, kindness, and loyalty. She loved to travel to Hawaii and other places, read books and bake for her family, friends and her church. She can best be described as a very good person.
Lucy asked that her thanks be expressed to doctor Derek Carroll for his 45 years of friendship and excellent care.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017, 12 noon at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. 851 Old Esquimalt Road, followed by a luncheon in the church basement. A family grave side service following the luncheon will be held at Hatley Memorial Gardens.
