With deepest sadness we announce that Muriel Lambert passed away on October 5th at Health Science Center with her family at her side after a long battle with Leukemia. Born on Nov 12, 1943 daughter of the late Alfred and Virtue Smith of Sunnyside, Trinity Bay. A devoted wife, she leaves to Mourn, her ‘darling’ husband Walter Lambert; a large family and a lifetime collection of friends. Daughters; Dallas (Crystal) and Barbara (Henry), Sons; Robert Wade (Lori) and Robin Ward (Meiling), Stepsons; Walter (Sharon), Eddie, Michael and Stepdaughter Joanie. Grand children; Cathy, Bobby, Tommy, Dawn, Robert, Jimmy, Blade, Brandon, Lori and Xavier, Rodney, Adam, Eddie, Amanda, Steve, Chase, Brady and many great grandchildren. Predeceased sisters Mildred and Emily. Brothers Alec, Cecil and Ross. Leaving to mourn brothers Leslie (Evelyn), Dearick (Margaret), sisters Delcia (Harold), Myrtle (Ivan), Gennie (Pat) and their families. Muriel will be forever loved, remembered for her passion for singing, darts, cards, dancing and all social activities. Her cooking was second to none, she bottled beets, jams, rabbit and seal, was famous for her homemade bread. Family would come from away and fresh bread would be baking alongside home made pies. Her laughter and sense of humor always kept others laughing too. Her spirit and her memories will live forever in the hearts and minds of her loved ones. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Muriel’s life will be held at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday, October 9th at 10 am – 2 pm with a service to follow at 2 pm. In Caul’s Chapel. Donations can be given to the Janeway Children’s Hospital (Cancer UNIT)
