It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Thelma Stewart Newby, née Dixon, widow of the late Elmer John Newby in her 92nd year. She was the devoted and loving mother of Elizabeth (Betty) Wise (Bill), William (Bill) Newby (Vicki), Gail Hughes (Scott) and Eunice, ”Nanny” of her grandchildren Lani, Damien, Amanda, Adam, Shawn, Sara, Kyle and Samara; great-grandmother to Shaila, Seth, Nicholas, Madilyn and Zoe, and predeceased by her brothers Roy, Doug, Lorne and Ken, and her sisters Phyllis and Hazel.
Visitations will be held at J.J Cardinal Funeral home, 560, Lakeshore Dr. Dorval, 514-639-1511, www.jjcardinal.ca on Thursday October 12th from 1 pm to 2 pm, followed by a service in the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Wildlife Federation (www.cwf-fcf.org/en/) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca/get-involved/donate) would be appreciated.
