Passed away peacefully in her 93rd year on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at The Cummer Lodge, Toronto. Beloved wife of Gerald Boire (deceased), mother of Michael (Catherine Edge), Frances (Robert Carriere), Karen (Frank Wagner) and Barbara Ann.
Grandmother to Steven, Annemarie, Benedicte, Elizabeth, Matthew and Allison; great-grandmother to Charlie, Eloise, Spencer, Hannah and Cohen. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Quebec City, she was a woman of curiosity who embraced her bilingual and bicultural community. Coming of age during the depression and WWII, she learned the value of hard work and volunteer service.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Gibson Retirement Residence and The Cummer Lodge for their devoted care of our mother.
Visitation will be held for family and friends at JJ Cardinal Funeral Home at 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval, Quebec, 514-631-1511 (www.jjcardinal.ca) on Friday, September 22 from 2:30 pm, followed by the chapel service at 4:00 pm.
