Miriam (Mim) D. Reeves
1923-2017
Miriam (Mim) D. Reeves, 93, of Moncton and formerly
of Sunny Brae, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on
Saturday, March 25, 2017, following a brief illness. Born in Moncton
she was the daughter of the late William and Grace (Donald) Atkinson.
Mim was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, sister and a former employee of the Motor Vehicle Branch.
She was a former member of St. John’s United Church and the
former Humphrey Memorial United Church where she served on various
groups and organizations in past years. Mim enjoyed spending time with
her friends especially long scenic drives, picnics and a nice cup of
tea with a sweet, but first and foremost was spending precious time
with her family especially with her grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
Mim will be sadly missed by her children Sandy Reeves
of Petitcodiac, Peggy Jensen (Paul) of Moncton, Bill Reeves of
Toronto, ON: precious grandchildren Nancy Cassidy-Bindels (Ralf),
Beverly Sears (Fred), Greg Jensen (Shoana) and Kevin Jensen (Norah);
cherished great grandchildren Mitchell, Nicholas, Amelia, Ellie and
Dashiell; also several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving
member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her
husband J. Barrie Reeves (July 1995), sister Margaret Robbins and
infant great grandson James (Jamie)
Sears.
In honouring Mim’s wishes there will be no
visiting hours or funeral service. A public graveside committal
service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, later in the spring.
Arrangements are under the professional care of Fergusons Funeral
Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton (858-1995).
In Mim’s memory, memorial donations may be
made to the I.W.K. or an act of kindness shown to others in need would
