Obituary of Mildred Franklin
Peacefully, on November 8, 2017 with her family by her side, at the age of 101 years and 6 months. Loving mother of Ianthe Spencer and Shirley Beckles (Melvyne). Beloved Granny of Keith, Ivan (Pamela) and Ian (Zona) Beckles, and Ian (Carlie) Spencer. Great-grandmother of 15 and great-great-grandmother of 3. Born in Barbados, Mildred came to Canada in 1966. She was a long-standing member of Asbury and West United Church. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 4-8pm. Funeral service at Asbury and West United Church, 3180 Bathurst St. (north of Lawrence) on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 11:30am. Interment Highland Memory Gardens. If desired donations to Asbury and West United Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Condolences www.rskane.ca
