Mildred Jean Horsman
Mildred Jean Horsman, 91, passed peacefully into the arms of
Jesus on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. She was born in Ammon, NB to
Beatrice (Mann) and Noble Horsman. Mildred attended the Ammon Road
School and enjoyed her adventures with the Bulmer kids who lived next
door.
Mildred attended Oultons Business School and then went to
work at #5 Depot. Following WWII, she went to work at CNR until she
decided to become a farmer’s wife. She married her childhood
sweetheart, Victor, in 1951 and they enjoyed 46 happy years
together.
Mildred was a charter member of Hillside Baptist Church,
where she served as Treasurer for many years. She was an active member
of her WMS group and Christian Women’s Club. She loved to
bowl and knit. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her
much joy and laughter and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Lipscombe (David);
granddaughters, Allison Doiron (Kevin) and Bethany Robertson
(Matthew); great grandchildren, Grace, Chloe and Amelia. In addition
to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Victor.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. A Service to
celebrate and honour Mildred’s life will be held at Hillside
Baptist Church (2290 Mountain Road) on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11:00
am with Pastor Jerry Reddy and Pastor Lindsay Taylor officiating.
Reception in the Family Centre following the service. Interment will
be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
