Mildred D. Rogers
1921-2017
Mildred Dorothy Rogers of Bristol Passed away Tuesday, January 24,
2017 at her home. She was born in New Denmark on September 8, 1921 the
daughter of the late Arthur and Agnes (Carlsen) Jensen. She was also
predeceased by her husband, Gerald Rogers; 1 granddaughter, Tina
Clark; 1 brother, Percy Jensen; 1 sister, Irene Sorensen.
Mildred’s 95 love-packed years enabled her to devote herself to her
husband, work at the Bristol Post Office, to raise four daughters, as
well as 2 granddaughters, and to enjoy special moments with each
precious grandchild and great grandchild. She will be remembered as a
follower of Jesus and a woman who lived a life devoted to do her best
in serving others. ” Well done, good and faithful
servant”.
Mildred was a loving mother to 4 daughters, Geraldine Fairley
(Gerald), Doreen Giberson (Dale), Barb Clark (Gary) and Wanda Giggie
(Gaylon); her 7 grandchildren, Kirk Giberson (Sheri), Wendy Hewitt
(Jeff), Nanette Walker (Charles), Lee Shakotko (Darren), Jake Giggie
(Kim), Janaya Lamkey (John) and Julia Plaizier (AJ); 16 great
grandchildren; 3 siblings; Helen Rogers, Raynald Jensen (Bonnie) and
Phyllis Deschene (Doug) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6-8
pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1
pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev Oral McAffee will
officiate. Interment will be in the Bristol Free Will Baptist Cemetery
at a later date. Donations made to the Bristol Free Will Baptist
Church Building Fund, Bristol Free Will Baptist Cemetery or to a
charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Mildred’s personal
home care workers who provided such excellent care through the years:
