Mike passed peacefully at his home on Friday, February 17, 2017. Born on December 3, 1960, Michael Lambertus Franciscus Hak of RR#2 Seaforth, was in his 57th year.
Beloved husband of the late Nancy (nee MacKenzie) Hak (Oct. 2000). Loving father of Marissa and Jim Boris of Thedford and Jason and Kandis MacKenzie of Arkona. Cherished ‘Grandpa Mike’ of Maddison and Landon Boris and Jaida and Kayden MacKenzie. Loving son of Catherine (nee Vanden Hengel) Hak of Seaforth and son-in-law of Marlene MacKenzie of Arkona. Dear brother of Mary and Richard Verberne of Seaforth, Ron and Annette Hak of Kitchener, Paul and Karen Hak of Listowel, Ken and Del Hak of Kitchener, Cathy-Lynn and Matt Phillips of Brooklin, and brother-in-law of Brian and Lynn MacKenzie of Arkona, Stephen and Faye MacKenzie of Watford and Donna and Rich Elliott of Strathroy. Mike will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Predeceased by his father Harry Hak, father-in-law Jim MacKenzie, and niece Katie Elliott.
Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St., Seaforth, on Tuesday, February 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mike’s funeral service will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 11 a.m., with Fr. John Vanden Hengel and Fr. Festus Komolafe officiating. A reception will follow at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156, and spring interment will take place in St. James Catholic Cemetery, Seaforth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. James Catholic Cemetery or Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
