Michael Cunningham

Michael Gerald Cunningham
It is with sadness we relay the sudden death of Mike Cunningham at Lake Temagami, 10 days before his 61st birthday. He was with his friend Doug when he collapsed from a sudden heart attack. He is survived by his beloved children, Jasmyn and Jon, of whom he was very proud, and who miss him very much. Also surviving are his sisters Linda, Shay and Maurie, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Len and Jo Cunningham. Mike was a land surveyor by profession and spent most of his career outdoors in remote northern areas of the world. He also spent several years surveying in the Fort MacMurray area. He was an explorer with his canoes, snow machines, boats, and other “toys”. He also loved hiking and skiing, as well as generally spending time outdoors. He will be missed not only by his family but by his many colleagues, outdoor cohorts, Facebook friends and morning coffee acquaintances. Friends of Mike are invited to join the family and share stories of Mike, Saturday, March 18, 2017, Heritage North, between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.
