Michael Chin-Leung

Michael Alrick Chin-Leung-
(January 17th, 1944- January 5th, 2017)
It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to Mike who passed away Thursday January 5th, 2017 at Trillium hospital in Mississauga. He is reunited with Alison, his wife of 48 years, in heaven after six months of being apart. He is truly at peace now. He was a dedicated father to his three children, Luke and Jason (Gabriela) Chin-Leung, and Michelle Medeiros (Paul). He was a proud “papa” of his four grandsons: Elias, Eric, Jonah and Lucian, and another grandchild on the way. Despite his strong and quiet demeanor, Mike would never miss an opportunity to make a joke, tell a story, or impart thoughtful advice. He loved karate, to dance, entertain friends and travel. A devout Catholic, Michael helped to teach others about Christ, through his involvement in the RCIA program. He was a Eucharistic minister for many years, visiting and bringing communion to the sick. His love and compassion for others could be seen in his willingness to help anyone who asked, and the on-going care of his wife for over 10 years as she battled Parkinson ’s Disease. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his love and generosity will live on the lives he has touched. The visitation will take place on Monday January 9th, 2017 at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, From 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m., a small reception will follow in the church hall.
