A Life Well Lived
Browne, Michael Francis John Joseph
Peacefully at Providence Manor, on Monday Dec 4, 2017 at the age of 88. Predeceased by his beloved wife Jeannie, he is survived by his six children, Theresa Russell (Glen), Gerald (Cheryl), Lawrence (Lori), Kevin (Mary), Derick, and Moira (Rob Grainger). He is remembered with love by his 10 grandchildren Steven, Scott, Janelle, Jillian, Jenniffer, Roberta, Jessie, Michelle, Emily and Davis, by his great grandchildren, and his three sisters, Mary, Isabelle and Elizabeth. Born in St. John’s Newfoundland, he was very proud of his Newfoundland heritage. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces where he attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, retiring in 1980. He will be remembered for his unfailing sense of humour, which brought a smile to all those around him. In his latter years Michael was fortunate to receive care from the staff at St. Lawrence Place Retirement Home and finally at Providence Manor. Your kindness will be remembered.
The family will receive friends at the Robert J. Reid & Sons, “The Chapel on the Corner”, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) on Friday from 5-7pm. A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 at 11am. Interment will follow at Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the National Air Force Museum of Canada, in Trenton, Ontario.
