It is with great sadness that the family of the late
MICHAEL POWER of Marystown announces his
passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Friday,
June 30th, 2017, at the age of
80. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are wife, Shirley Power of Alberta; son, Gary Power of
Alberta; daughters, Peggy-Lee Yakimovich of Alberta, Callie Power of
Alberta & Jackie Lasure (Jay) of Marystown; sisters, Elizabeth
Goodridge of Lewin’s Cove & Madge Powell of
Glovertown; plus a large number of grandchildren, relatives and
friends. Special thanks to his homecare worker,
Katie Brake. He was predeceased by son, Glen Power; grandson,
Timothy Yakimovich; 2 brothers; 1 sister; parents, Nicholas &
Beatrice Power.
The Power Family will be accepting visitors at
Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Tuesday, July
4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00
p.m.; from where the Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, July
4th, at 2:00
p.m. Inurnment will follow at
Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in
Marystown.
In Michael’s memory donations may be made
to Daffodil Place. No flowers by request of the
family.
Following the Funeral Service family and friends are
welcome to join the Power family for fellowship and refreshments at
his sister’s residence (Elizabeth Goodridge), located at 135
Main Street, Lewin’s Cove.
