Muriel “Meryl” Lynch, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Saugeen Villa Nursing Home, Hanover on Friday, January 06, 2017. She was 91.
Born on August 15, 1925 in Ayton to the late Lincoln and Leila (nee Bilton) Derbecker. Meryl will be remembered for her years of service at the Royal Bank in Ayton as a Bank Teller. In her spare time she loved her music and was found playing at many venues and for the church in Alsfeldt as their organist for many years.
Survived by her daughters Marianne Lynch (Will Maximuk) of Neustadt, Barbara Lynch and Margaret Lynch (Gordon Turpin) both of Toronto. Loved grandmother of David (Nadine) Scott, Daniel (Marie) Scott and Dylan Turpin and great grandmother of Anthony, Eleni, Joey and Thanos Scott. Meryl will be fondly remembered by her brother Ross (Marian) Derbecker of Clifford, brother in laws Paul (Nancy) Lynch, Peter Lynch both of Toronto and sister in law Marjorie Lynch of Vancouver. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leo.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 10 am until time of a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Spring interment in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Ayton.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
