It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother and nona, Merica Caputo.
Merica was born in Trail and passed away December 11, 2017 with her family by her side.
Merica is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Mickey Caputo, also by her son David (Raylene and Danielle), daughters, Lisa (Stephen), and Michelle (Peter), 5 grandchildren that she cherished, Ryan, Garin, Jacob, Darion, and Shailyn, her sister Dee Dee Sperling (nee Forlin) and brother Louis Forlin. She is predeceased by her parents Luigi and Eliza Forlin, brothers John and Bruno, sisters Irene Adamkiewicz (nee Forlin) and Eva Forlin as well as her daughter-in-law Cathy Caputo (nee Mazzei).
Merica was a member of Sisters’ of Colombo Lodge, and previously worked at Trail City Hall and West Kootenay Power.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish on Saturday, December 16 at 10:30 am with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic School at 1329 4th Ave, Trail, BC, V1R 1S3.
