Obituary of Melvin Power
Passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 25, 2017, Melvin Power of Caplin Cove, age 52 years. Predeceased by father: Ronald; sister-in-law: Marina Power. Leaving to mourn, his wife of twenty years: Paula; one daughter: Merissa (Anthony), Caplin Cove; one son: Nicholas, Caplin Cove; one grandson: Carter Ray; mother: Evelyn, Old Perlican; four brothers: Clarence (Karen), Dave, Alonzo (Mamie), and Graham (Betty); six sisters: Marg (Bill) Vye, Cynthia (Paul) Turpin, Donna (Vince) Delaney, Norma Moore, Shirley Power, and Karen (Jeff) Squires; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, 10:30 to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Melvin Power Memorial Fund, c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
