It is with heavy hearts we announce Mel’s passing on November 30, 2016 at University Hospital in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 63 years and best friend of Dora “Doddy” (Nee Goodwin). Loving father of Melvin and Liz Wright, Bonny and Brian Trudgeon, Christina and Roy Stephenson and Shawn and Linda Wright. Very proud Poppa of his 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Doris and John Martensen, Marguerite (the late George Fudge) and Norman and Janet Wright and their families. Predeceased by his parents Eva and Alfred Wright, brothers Ken (Marnie) Wright, Leslie Wright; sisters, Isabelle (Cecile Norris), Bonnie Wright and daughter-in-law Bonnie Wright. Always loved and forever remembered by his family and friends. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Mel’s life will be held at St. Thomas Pentecostal Assembly, 144 Wellington Street, St. Thomas on Tuesday December 6th, 2016 at 1 pm. In his memory, donations made to the Canadian Hearing Society would be appreciated by his family.
