1980-2017
Matthew Douglas Sherrard, of Fredericton, NB, passed away at
his home on Greenfields Drive, January 16, 2017. Born in
Miramichi, NB, November 27, 1980, he grew up and lived his life in
Fredericton. He attended UNB studying languages and while there he
spent many hours as a DJ for CHSR, a position he loved. In the last 7
years of his life he worked for UPS as a customs brokerage
rater.
Matthew was a compassionate man, who touched the hearts of
many, both in his physical and online communities. He was passionate
about supporting causes that helped uplift the underprivileged and
those at risk. He had a wonderful sense of humor.
Survived by his mother and step-father, Esther and Fred Mead
of Beaver Dam, NB; father and wife, Roger and Kanokwan Hare of
Tasmania, Australia; brothers, Kris Mead of Moncton, NB, and Michael
Mead of Beaver Dam, NB; sister, Sara Hare of Australia;
nephew, Sylar Carr-Mead; niece, Arya Mead; and his grandfather and
hero, Hubert Sherrard of Whitney, NB.
There will be a memorial gathering held on Sunday, January
22, 2017, from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at McAdam’s Funeral
Home. Donations in Matthew’s memory can be made to the
charity of the donor’s choice.
