Obituary of Mary Verlinde
Verlinde, Mary Theresa (nee Crow) – of Caleb Village, Chatham, formerly a long-time resident of Muirkirk, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday November 13, 2017, at the age of 84. Born in Chatham, Ontario on March 16, 1933, daughter of the late Clarence and Laurentia (nee Caron) Crow.
Loving wife of the late Rene Verlinde (September 25, 2010). Beloved mother of Larry and his wife Vicki Verlinde of Dover Centre and Janet and her husband David Beamish of Bothwell. Loving Grandma of Sara and her husband Mark Symeonakis of Sarnia, Shawn Verlinde of Sarnia, Amanda and her husband Adam Charron of Chatham and Kimberly Beamish and her fiancé Josh Johnston of Chatham. Great-Grandma of Benjamin and Grace Symeonakis, and Brodie Charron. Dear sister of Clara and her husband the late Vern Watson, Evelyn and her husband Leroy Gore, Jack and his wife Andree Crow, and Sharron and her husband Larry Balfour. She will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Mary farmed her entire life alongside her husband Rene. It was an occupation they were both truly proud of.
The Verlinde family will be receiving friends and family at the McKinlay Funeral Home, Ridgetown, on Thursday November 16, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Cremation will follow with a private family graveside service to be held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
