Obituary of Mary Carsh
CARSH – Mary Georgette passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 6th, 2017 in her 95th year at the Welland County General Hospital. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Ernest “Paul” Carsh, parents Samuel Thomas and Georgette (Gauthier), brothers Jimmy Thomas (Theresa) and Samuel Thomas, and sister Annette Adams (Rexford), and nephew Rexford “Walter” Adams II. Born on April 02, 1923 in Ottawa, Ontario, Mary spent most of her life living in the Montreal area. She worked as an executive secretary for Nortel before retiring and moving to Ontario with her husband. Mary loved golf, knitting, socializing, and supporting her church (Christ Anglican Church) and various community events. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and would proudly talk about her family to all that would listen. Mary will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. The Family would like to thank the Portal Village staff, Club Richelieu staff, and Northland Pointe staff for the assisted living support Mary needed in her later years. Arrangements entrusted to DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. As per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at 11 a.m on Friday October 20, 2017 at the Morgan’s Point United Church Cemetery located at 14B30 Lakeshore Road, Wainfleet, ON. A reception will follow for family and all friends. Memorial gifts may be made to Christ Anglican Church, 19 M-70 Church, Wainfleet ON L0S 1V0 (niagaraanglican.ca/).
