Obituary of Mary Gignac (nee Foster)
On Thursday, November 23rd, at the age of 75, wife of Robert (Bob) for 56 years passed away at home. Mother of Robert M. Gignac (Nadine) of Oakville, Ontario (grandmother to David Zilkey). Daughter of the late Elizabeth (Betty) Foster 1990, and Garnet (Moe) Foster 2008. Sister of Morley “Moe” (Aren) of Parksville, British Columbia. Aunt to Laura Foster, Etobicoke, Ontario and Lynne Foster, North Vancouver, British Columbia. Great Aunt to Davis and Sadie Elizabeth Foster and Tegan and Gareth Salmon. Mary leaves behind her best friend of 50 years Madge Simone, Amherstburg, Ontario. Also her cousin Karen Bechard, Harrow, Ontario. Along with family and friends, Mary’s loves included gardening and bird watching and time spent in her adopted city of Victoria, British Columbia.
